Habitat Restoration

Heritage Research Services provided monitoring for a project known as Bridge to Bridge. This was a habitat restoration project located near Lowden in Walla Walla County, Washington. The work for Bridge to Bridge included removal of an existing levee and excavation of stream banks and beds in order to create log jams for a new levee.

City of Walla Walla Upgrades

In the summer of 2014 Heritage Research Services was subcontracted by Anderson Perry and Associates to conduct historical and archival research, survey and testing, and report preparation for a stormwater improvement project. Investigations took place in a city block that was the location of Walla Walla’s Chinatown from the 1890s to the 1910s. We compiled information from city directories, federal censuses, and Sanborn maps in order to shed light on this lively area.

The final technical report is available to download here.

Other City of Walla Walla upgrade related projects include archaeological monitoring of geotechnical drilling investigations for HDR Engineering, Inc.
